Millennial Reign: The dawn of economic recovery by way of "The prolific "80's babies"

By Shadaria A Allison

I can remember being fourteen in the heart of Brooklyn, NY right after one of the biggest tragedies of my teenage life; the passing of American starlet; Aaliyah Haughton.
Being so connected to her influence. Whether it was the "cool" she put in modern music; or the "sweetheart" she seemed to be in a seemingly dog-eat-dog entertainment industry; Her death moved me to action.

At the time my dad couldn't understand why I became so intrigued with someone that I had never met. Someone so "untouchable"; a person I had only absorbed via television, airwaves, and film.
In a recent reflection of that moment; I realized the apparent difference of generational gaps, and the powerful influence that my generation; the "millennials" had on an everchanging world.

Wherever you have an everchanging world; you have an everchanging economy, and wherever there is an ever-changing economy there are a people longing for reliable culture fashioned in the form of a "reviving generation".

Millennial: a person reaching young adulthood around the year 2000.

Welcome to the era of social media, YouTube, Instagram, self-starters, and selfie-sticks. All-at-once it seems that the "millennials" have been branded as a loose group of technological nymphos with no promise of a real way of living beyond a shallow concept of false identities.

Completely ignoring that with "time integration" comes "time innovation", and that millennials may be the answer to companies that question whether they are missing attractive marketing strategies, iconic visual networking, and ideas that will catapult the entire world into vast business and economic reformation. From the fashion district to wall street; businesses are craving the ideas that come from young entrepreneurs who can draw attention from the likes of all generations to come.

As running water is under a glass full of iridescent liquid has been the "corporate status quo" to the tattooed, pierced, fashonista'd millennial. Yet if there is a hope of elasticity in revenue, and perpetual sales for stapled businesses; even in major industries such as music, film, and fashion; we had better embrace what the world is truly protesting for; something very new.

Companies who will dare to surrender their foundations to the voice and ideas of the millennial generation can stand to see instant economical response from the world's economy.
Mainly, because they are the primary census of today's culture.

Reputed for having bold ideas, controversy, and barrier-breaking technological influence, millennial consumers and employment seekers are looking for relatable and reliable structures to invest both their money and labor into. With the embrace of this growing social class; the world is bound to burst with medical breakthroughs, social reforms, and surmountable growth in business expansion by way of partnership, and positive economic diversity. All things promised with the proper embrace of the properly coined "80's babies".
One of the many "glimmers of hope" throughout controversial times is the direct promise of a generation that will be creative, bold, and globally impressive.

Look no further Kings; the "Millennial Reign" is here.

Cooperative Democracy

Freedom is a matter of consciousness (or real intelligence) and responsibility. It is the duty and fundamental political motive or urge of free men and women to create an intimate cooperative union with other men. Therefore, the basic idea of democracy, or of free society in general, is not mere personal independence (nor impersonally organized collectivism), but it is community, or the culture of responsible intimacy.
The principal obligations or practical responsibilities of any truly free or democratic community are:

  1. the practical establishment of truly humanizing and evolutionary cultural and spiritual Wisdom as the basis of the daily education, moral and personal testing, and literal practice of all members of the community
  2. the lawful establishment of rights of privacy and personal mobility within the community, and the full consideration and clear enunciation of just laws (or behavioral agreements) as well as right and just means of enforcing and adjudicating the laws or agreements within and without the community (If law ceases to be a matter of abstract and arbitrary rules, but it is simply a matter of behavioral agreements made on the basis of wisdom and compassion, then "law enforcement" and "justice" will also tend to become natural and intimate functions of the human community itself, rather than the duty of abstracted powers that manipulate "criminals." Only if the matter of law remains within the province of the intimate community will citizens adapt to the truly moral point of view, and it is also only within the intimate community that the "letter" of the law can remain secondary to the compassionate and humanizing judgment of wise representatives of the "community mind." Only one for whom the loss of community would be the greatest loss of all will accept the rules and tests and judgments of the community. And such a one generally need not be "punished" if he commits any wrong, but he can be healed by the obligation to serve the people he has wronged, as a condition for his reacceptance into full participation in the community. But "outsiders," or individuals who have never lived within the community bond of a living culture, in fact have no peers and no moral foundation for their existence. Therefore, great authoritarian or Parental States breed outlaws, because they destroy the political principle of autonomous and intimate community as the basic unit of citizen participation.)
  3. the comprehensive planning and orderly development or "pre-solving" of the total natural and human environment of the community (both in itself and in its cooperative relations with all other communities)
  4. the management of the universal availability of fundamental and necessary goods and services within the responsible community, and thus the guarantee of access to those goods and services on the part of all members of the community who participate cooperatively and responsibly in the community and who can thus offer one or another kind of fair exchange for goods and services (And the community should, in its cooperative relations with all other communities, help to establish the universal availability of necessary goods and services within all other communities.)
